Former Employee Google Review Assistance
Google reviews are intended to describe customer experiences, not settle employment disagreements. A review linked to a former employee or contractor may raise conflict-of-interest and off-topic concerns, but the connection and context must be presented accurately.
Evelon Digital helps businesses organise the relevant facts without publishing confidential employment material unnecessarily. We assess what can safely support a policy report and explain where the review may remain because Google controls the outcome.

Common former-worker review situations
The timing may be relevant, but timing alone is not enough. The strongest cases distinguish the employment or contractor relationship from a genuine consumer transaction.
- A former employee posts after dismissal or resignation
- A contractor describes an invoice or engagement dispute as a customer experience
- Friends or relatives post supporting ratings
- The review names staff or includes private workplace information
Evidence that may be useful
Only provide records relevant to the policy issue. Sensitive workplace documents should be handled confidentially and not pasted into public responses.
- Employment or contractor dates
- Public profile information connecting the reviewer to the workplace
- Records showing the dispute was employment-related
- Screenshots and the direct review URL
- Evidence of related accounts or duplicated wording
Our assessment and reporting process
We review the relationship, the wording and the available evidence, then determine whether conflict of interest, off-topic content, harassment, privacy or another rule is the most accurate basis. We do not reframe a genuine customer complaint as an employment dispute where the facts do not support that position.
Recent, older and multiple reviews
Both recent and older former-worker reviews can be assessed. A group of reviews from connected people may require a pattern analysis, while one detailed review may depend more heavily on the relationship evidence and the content itself.
Other negative Google reviews we handle
Each review is assessed on its own content and evidence. A possible policy breach does not guarantee removal — Google makes the final decision.
- Fake and fabricated reviews
Reviews describing a visit, purchase or job that never happened.
- Unfair one-star reviews
Low ratings with no text, or a rating that doesn't match the experience described.
- Competitor reviews
Ratings that appear to come from a rival business or people connected to one.
- Conflict of interest reviews
Reviews from people with a personal or commercial stake in harming the business.
- Reviews from unidentified customers
Reviewers you cannot match to any booking, invoice or record.
- Abusive or threatening reviews
Harassment, slurs, threats or personal attacks on named staff.
- False and misleading allegations
Claims of illegality, fraud or unsafe practice that records contradict.
- Personal or commercial dispute reviews
Reviews posted as leverage in a dispute, debt or falling-out.
- Spam and promotional reviews
Links, advertising, repeated text or content unrelated to a real experience.
- Duplicate and coordinated reviews
Clusters of similar reviews posted in a short window, often from new accounts.
- Off-topic reviews
Commentary about politics, news, another business or anything but the experience.
- Reviews posted against the wrong business
Mistaken identity between similarly named or neighbouring businesses.
- Old negative reviews
Reviews 28 days old or more that still affect enquiries today.
- Recently posted negative reviews
Reviews under 28 days old, where acting early helps preserve evidence.
- Previously rejected removal requests
Reviews Google declined to remove after a first report.
